Car crashes into Maples Motel Updated 3 hours

A female passenger was extricated from this car after it crashed into the Maples Motel at the base of Laclie Street Thursday afternoon following a collision with a pickup truck. The passenger suffered life-threatening injuries while the male driver had minor injuries.

OPP hear few snowmobile beefs Posted 11 hours

Despite complaints to council and letters to the editor about snowmobilers in The Packet & Times, this year the Orillia OPP laid charges comparable with previous years, said OPP Const. Don Martin. "We didn't personally get that many (complaints)," said Martin, who is with the snowmobile unit.
